How it works

  • Every hole is worth one skin.
  • The lowest score on the hole wins the skin, but only if nobody ties it.
  • A tie carries the skin to the next hole, so a hole can be worth two, three or more.
  • Each skin won earns 1 point.

Carryovers and the last hole

Carried skins keep stacking until someone wins a hole outright. If the last hole is tied, the skins still carried at the end go to nobody. A pickup can never win a skin.

A worked example

Four players, no Strokes. Each hole that is won is a birdie by the winner; everyone else makes par.

Strokes in skins

Skins is played net by default: each player gets 100% of their Strokes, on the holes they fall on. A net birdie can win a skin outright.

Play it in Baroo

Add skins to any round. Baroo tracks the carryovers hole by hole as the cards come in, and the points land in the group’s game ledger.
