How it works
- Two players, one match.
- The lower net score wins the hole; a tie halves it.
- The match ends when one player is up by more holes than are left: up four with three to play is “4 & 3”.
- The winner earns 2 points; a halved match earns 1 point to each player.
Reading the score
“2 UP” means two holes ahead. “Dormie” means up by as many holes as are left, so the other player must win every one to halve. “AS” (all square) means level.

Strokes in match play
The lower player plays off zero, and the other gets 100% of the difference in their Strokes, on the hardest holes first.
